Google Scholar

Published articles may become discoverable through Google Scholar, Google's academic search service. Google Scholar uses automated systems to crawl and process scholarly content available on the web. Inclusion and visibility of individual articles are determined by Google Scholar's own automated systems and technical requirements.

IIARD does not guarantee that every published article will be indexed or appear in Google Scholar.

Authors should also understand that Google Scholar indexing is not immediate. Newly published articles may take time to be discovered and processed, and the timing can vary from one article or website to another. Google Scholar itself notes that new papers are normally added several times a week, but changes and updates can take considerably longer.

ResearchGate and Other Academic Platforms

Authors may also increase the visibility of their published research by sharing their article through appropriate academic and professional platforms, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors may consider platforms and services such as:

• ResearchGate
• ORCID
• Institutional repositories
• University research repositories
• Subject-specific repositories
• Google Scholar Profile
• Personal or institutional academic webpages

Authors are responsible for complying with the policies and requirements of each external platform when uploading or sharing their work.

Improving Article Discoverability

Authors can also improve the discoverability of their research by:

• Using a clear and descriptive article title.
• Ensuring that author names and affiliations are presented consistently.
• Using relevant keywords.
• Providing a clear and informative abstract.
• Sharing the published article through appropriate academic networks.
• Maintaining an updated academic profile.
• Citing relevant scholarly literature appropriately in future research.
