This study examined the effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on anxiety and depression among university lecturers in Imo State, Nigeria. The research was guided by three questions and corresponding null hypotheses. The study employed a randomized pretest-posttest control group design, involving 100 volunteer lecturers from five universities in Imo State. The instruments used were the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). Data analysis involved mean, standard deviation, correlation, Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), and regression analysis. The findings revealed that MBSR significantly reduced anxiety levels (pre-
