This study investigated the effects of the local content policy on Nigeria’s automotive sector from 204 to 2022. Prospects for a flourishing Nigeria automotive sector remain high and unquestionable, with its estimation to be a vital driver of the national economy. However, there is a worry as to whether the primary production processes in the Nigerian automotive sector achieve the recommended local contents incorporation so as to expect truly made-in-Nigeria vehicles, in line with the local content policy of the government.
